   That would be another option, of course, but a "closed" group like those   
   on yahoo is a slightly more ... well, intimate and friendly place than a   
   huge open-to-all archive, especially if an author hasn't posted fics   
   anywhere else. The comments there can be quite harsh at times, and a   
   fandom-specific group usually will offer advice and/or help (if needed).
