|    [kinda-OT, toys] Old decals problem    |
|    22 Apr 06 15:30:05    |
From: eva_unit_4a@yahoo.com               I recently purchased a sealed/mint 15yr-old toy from the 1991 anime       "Brave of the Sun Fighbird". The decals were completely intact on the sheet       when I opened it, and all of the ABS was cleaned & dried beforehad with       simple paper towels. However, for whatever reasons (I'm assuming age),       eseveral of the deals immediately begen to peel away from curved surfaces or       places they had to curve around. It's almost like the adhesive isn't even       there, or it's lost its gripping capabillity. Also, I have some other       pieces in my collection that have decals that are naturally decaying over       time.               I have tried double-sided tape and elmers glue, but neither works for       very long, if at all. And I don't want to use super glue for fear of       risking damaging plastic or the decals. What could I use as a replacement       adhesive?               Thanks,                      EVA_Unit_4A        (Administrator, The_Land_of_Quiroz)        (Moderator, MermaidStoriesFanFics)        (Moderator, MythicNews)              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
