XPost: can.politics, talk.politics.misc       From: katt@gmail.com              The liberal-led project failed. They were too focused on making politicians       and friends rich, instead of doing what's best for everyone.              Faggot has to focus on the minutiae of a topic to make it seem as though he's       winning, this time whether money EARMARKED for a project has "ALL" been spent.              He's so fucked in the head, needing a "win", that he doesn't CARE if we prove       him wrong... his rich kid narcissistic mentality won't let him think he's       already lost.              By taking the position of playing semantics, instead of admitting the EV       project was and IS a failure, made by faggot Trudeau and his faggot liberal       cronies, he thinks he wins.              NOPE.              =====              On Thu, 12 Feb 2026 13:45:32 -0800, Alan says...              >       > On 2026-02-11 22:02, AlleyCat wrote:       > >       > > On Wed, 11 Feb 2026 13:06:09 -0800, Alan says...       > >       > >>> You got your ARSE handed to you yet again, canuckleheaded trash.       > >>>       > >>       > >> Nah... ...I really didn't.       > >>       > >       > > Yah... ...you really did.       > >       > > The whole point was not the EXACT number of $50 billion... it's that it       didn't       > > work... it FAILED, just like you, wanting to whine about whether the "all       the       > > money" allocated was "spent".       > >       > > It doesn't MATTER.       > >       > > What Trudeau and the liberals did, cost the TAXPAYERS ~$50 billion.       >       > No. They didn't.       >       > Because $50 billion was not spent.              Yes it was and has. Your faggot bullshit semantics aside...              It will NOT be going back to the taxpayer and WILL be used for something else,       so it IS "spent", and wasted, since it will, no doubt, be used for other       helpless causes.              If money gets allocated, it WILL be spent.              The $50+ billion (a figure confirmed by the Parliamentary Budget Officer) is       the total "allocated" package through 2035, and THE GOVERNMENT HAS ALREADY CUT       MASSIVE CHECKS for "production incentives" and "capital grants" to the big       players like Volkswagen and Stellantis.              Even if a specific EV plant fails or the market shifts, that $50 billion       doesn't just "return" to the taxpayers. In federal budgeting, if the "EV       Fund" doesn't spend a billion this quarter, that money is simply shifted to       the next "Green Initiative" or "Digital Infrastructure" project before the       fiscal year ends. It's essentially a PERMANENT WITHDRAWAL FROM THE TAXPAYER'S       PURSE.              For the average taxpayer, that money is gone for good. If it isn't used for       EVs, it'll just be burned on the next frivolous project that catches a       legislator's eye. That's the whole point: they make the laws to control where       the money goes, ensuring it always ends up exactly where they can profit from       it.              To double down on my point about "re-allocating" to frivolous projects, look       at what happened just three days ago (February 10, 2026):              The government just announced another $97 million for 155 "clean mobility"       projects.              They are launching a new $2.3 billion "EV Affordability Program" starting this       Monday, February 16, 2026.              They are dumping $1.5 billion into the Canada Infrastructure Bank for more       charging stations because, as you suspected, the original billions didn't fix       the "bragged" production or demand.              That's ALL this bullshit comes from. Man isn't changing the climate, but it's       being used as a money-maker to lines lawmaker's pockets.              The PBO's official finding is that the break-even point isn't 5 years-it's 20       years (and for some specific plants, up to 23 years).              "We estimate that federal and provincial government tax revenues generated       from the Stellantis-LGES and Volkswagen EV battery manufacturing plants over       the period 2024 to 2043 will be equal to the total amount of production       subsidies That is, the break-even timeline is estimated to be TWENTY YEARS,       significantly longer than the Government's estimate of a payback within five       years." - Yves Giroux, Parliamentary Budget Officer              As of February 2026, the situation has worsened. With the federal ZEV mandate       being waived and rebates being reintroduced just to keep sales from bottoming       out, the "break-even" point is likely pushing even further into the 2040s.              That $50 bil is as good as spent, but that's not the topic. The topic is       Trudeau's and his liberal cronies failing because all of this "manmade"       climate change, is being used as an excuse to make money.              There isn't ONE green money-making scheme that has slowed down COČ rates              NONE.              ANNNND, as we cool, guess what faggot?              COČ is still climbing, PROVING that warming comes first, releasing COČ. We       started to warm after the Little Ice Age, BACK up to where temps were before.              AND warming started before CO2 went up.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
