XPost: alt.politics.org.batf, alt.fan.states.idaho, sac.politics       XPost: talk.politics.guns       From: noreply@mixmin.net              MERIDIAN, Idaho (CBS2) — Sarah Elizabeth George, a 43-year-old Boise       woman, was arrested in connection with last week’s theft of an ambulance       and an alleged attempt to set fire to a Meridian building, authorities       announced Monday night.              George was taken into custody after Meridian Police, along with the FBI       and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, served an       arrest warrant and executed a search warrant at her Boise residence              Attempted Destruction of Federal Property by Fire       Malicious Destruction of Property Used in or Affecting Interstate       both              The case stems from late Wednesday, Feb. 18, when Canyon County       paramedics had an ambulance stolen from St. Luke’s Meridian.              According to investigators, the suspect drove the ambulance into the       Portico North Building in Meridian. Authorities say gasoline had been       staged in cans and was poured inside the ambulance and on the ground       outside the vehicle in what investigators believe was an attempt to       ignite the building.              Officials have not released details about a possible motive.              Law enforcement officials credited extensive investigative work for the       arrest. Over the past five days, detectives and federal agents canvassed       neighborhoods door-to-door, searching for surveillance footage,       witnesses and other evidence. The search area stretched from Interstate       84 to Fairview Avenue and from Locust Grove Road to Cloverdale Road.              Authorities said that a combination of traditional investigative methods       and technological analysis led to the identification of George as the       suspect. Under federal law, attempted destruction of federal property by       fire carries a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in prison and up       to 20 years, along with potential fines. The statutes cited apply to       attempts to damage or destroy property owned by or receiving assistance       from the federal government, as well as property used in interstate       commerce.              Authorities emphasized that the case remains active.              https://idahonews.com/resources/pdf/4f58e9da-5819-412a-ab1b-f96cbcf4ce45-       PCA.pdf              https://idahonews.com/news/local/authorities-make-an-arrest-after-ambulan       ce-driven-into-building-housing-dhs-offices              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
