Ranma is very much up to 'Bats" level and beyond as well. Ranma
trains in the school of 'Anything Goes Martial Arts School of
Indiscriminate Grappling' (Saotome ver. and not Tendo ver. though both
are the same except in famial name) which holds the precept of learn and
adapt in any given fight. Ranma is able to learn an opponents technique
in almost all cases just by having that technique used against him only
once. He then analysizes it and can come up with various ways to counter
and even defeat the technique. Ranma does all this 'on the fly' during a
battle where as Batman most often needs to go back to the Batcave and
have his computer do the analysis for him if the moves used against him
are ones he doesn't recognize, before he can come up with a solution for
   countering it.
