   I wonder why Sailor Moon was hiding from him behind the car.  Had the   
   writers possibly not decided yet that there was some mystical power   
   that prevented people from recognizing her?  In the manga people can   
   immediately figure out that Usagi is Sailor Moon (and Usagi figures   
   out Sailor Uranus and Tuxedo Mask's identities just by seeing them),   
   so maybe they were still uncertain about that.  But that works much   
   better for the manga because you don't have to extend the storyline   
   over so many chapters.

   It's definitely better to watch them first, though.   
      
   Nice to see you posting again; I'm looking forward to seeing   
   additional comments from you.  (Of course, we're still early enough in   
   the series that you could just skip most of the episodes up to 21, but   
   catching up completely is good too. :)
