   Episode 23 - Wish upon a shooting star!  Naru-chan's pure love   
      
   Quick summary: Nephrite makes the Black Crystal to aid him in finding   
   the Silver Crystal -- it leads him to Naru, but that's just because of   
   Naru's strong feelings for him.   
      
   This is the midway point of the first season; kind of surprising since   
   so little has happened in the overall plot.   
      
   It's been a while since I've seen the first season so I may have just   
   forgotten, but why doesn't anyone seem to know about the Rainbow   
   Crystals at this point?  When Nephrite makes his black crystal you can   
   see the colors going into it, but up to now in the series, everyone   
   (even Queen Beryl) has spoken of the Silver Crystal as if it's going   
   to be found whole.   
      
   Uemura Noriko, who plays the monster in this episode, also plays Queen   
   Metallia at the end of this season, and Kaolinite in SMS.   
      
   (The preview for the next episode is one of the worst in terms of   
   giving away the story, especially given the title of the episode.)
