   He was?  With it being that brief, I might not have noticed it or just   
   acknowledged it and moved on.  I was probably too busy anticipating the   
   Makoto event that was about to occur that I had been spoiled about to   
   give it too much consideration.  By then, I was just used not to seeing   
   Kenji at all.
