In the dub, they made it Saturday instead, a       reasonable localization.              Did anyone notice the movie posters behind Rei and Yuuichiro as they       were speaking? The one behind Yuuichiro was a head shot of a man and       the one behind Rei was a head shot of a woman. The expression of these       two characters kept changing during the conversation (the man getting       mad as Yuuichiro wimped out, and the woman blanching when Rei kind of       waffled). The text on the posters changed as well, chastising       Yuuichiro for not speaking up and so forth.              It's little things like that that delight me so much.              Of course, the dub completely trashed the whole Gone with the Wind       parody (licensing concerns?) *however* they did change one line that       made me laugh out loud given that I knew the original reference. As       Rei was doing that weird little hand wave as Yuuichiro walked off, in       the original she made a direct reference to Gone with the Wind. In the       dub, she said "Oh well, tomorrow's another day." Since there are no       other GWTW references, it would be lost on the dub only fans, but it       certainly made me grin. ^_^              --       Phoenix       www.phoenixanime.com              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
