   Episode 39 - Paired with a youma!? The Queen on ice, Mako-chan   
      
   Now Makoto, Rei, and Minako have been mistaken for Sailor Moon -- but   
   there seems to be no episode in which Ami is mistaken for her. I guess   
   they ran out of filler space?   
      
   The classical music before Sailor Moon's appearance in this episode is   
   the Dies Irae movement from Verdi's Requiem.   
      
   Endymion seems a little too friendly and goes a bit too far helping   
   Sailor Moon in this episode, even accounting for the fact that he   
   doesn't like Kunzite or his methods. I wonder if somehow his   
   transformation to evil is not complete or something like that -- in   
   one of the upcoming episodes SM is able to heal him back to normal,   
   but then Queen Metallia corrupts him again and after that SM is not   
   able to heal him when she tries. Maybe Metallia and Beryl like him so   
   much they overlook his treachery.   
      
   Yamazaki Wakana, who plays Janelin (the female skater) in this   
   episode, plays Cooan in R and the young Nehelenia in stars. (She's   
   also Meltina in Valkyrie Profile, Iria in the original Star Ocean, and   
   a bunch of other roles).
