Ami and Mamoru's face-off       >                     Endymion appears in Africa to capture Reika, the fourth of the seven       monsters.              Meanwhile, Urawa is on the run, foreseeing trouble coming. He contacts       Ami who sees that Yumeno Yumeni has disappeared, the fifth disappearance       (I guess his power clued him in to the missing cat, maybe? It’s not the       sort of thing to make the news) He claims it’s a residual power from       the crystal.              Usagi was especially stupid in this episode. Even when Ami mentioned       the possibility of restoring Mamoru (something that’s never really been       discussed before) she was still off in her own little universe.       Fortunately, she gets very little camera time.              The Ami-Makoto conversation was very, very interesting. Makoto is       genuinely trying to convince Ami to get this out in the open. While she       may be a bit too honest with her feelings now and then, she can clearly       see how bottling them up the way Ami does can lead to trouble. However,       the simple fact of the matter is that there’s just not much there from       Ami’s end. She knows how Urawa feels, and she just doesn’t think of him       that way. Maybe that’s what she was trying to say toward the end, maybe       there was more to it. Ami likes the guy, thinks he’s a good friend, but       that’s the end of it. Whenever they’re together, it’s clear just how       one-sided the romantic aspect of the relationship is.              I loved the “Lost Cat” sign in the middle of the Makoto-Ami scene.              Those buying into the Ami/Makoto relationship could see this as Ami       already having her sights set elsewhere, (and she blushes far more in       Makoto’s presence than Urawa’s, or anyone else’s) but Makoto seems to be       set on helping Ami get things to work out with Urawa.              If Mamoru is that tough, why does he spend most of the time making       rambling speeches and tossing roses?              What is it with Mamoru, crystals, and butterfingers? He practically       dared Ami to grab the crystal, then let her do it. Yes, she did throw a       distraction first, but still… Then again, he was kinda stupid about       that with regard to Zoisite too, and Ami’s much more clever than he was.              ISO: Inexpensive one-way ticket to Nairobi, contact Nishimura Reika. ^_^;              SK              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
