|    200 Days of Sailor Moon - Episode 46    |

From: chriskern99@gmail.com              Episode 46 - Usagi's wish is eternal! A new rebirth              I said that the previous episode isn't really that emotional for me,       but this episode is. This is an excellent conclusion to the series.       The initial section with Sailor Moon fighting Dark Endymion is one of       the most chilling and intense scenes of the series -- especially when       Sailor Moon hits him with the tiara. I guess after the last episode       anything is possible but normally you would have expected Sailor Moon       to rescue Mamoru -- instead he dies, after telling her to run away and       find a great boyfriend. "But Mamoru-san, you're the best..." she says,       as the music suddenly stops and Mamoru dies. Great scene.              The final section is where all the girls (and Mamoru) are reborn, and       have no memory of what previously happened. There's some confusion on       whether time was actually reset or they just lost their memories --       both explanations introduce some inconsistencies. It's kind of sad       that the senshi are all alone again, now that they don't have Usagi       anymore. The last scene is Usagi throwing her test paper and hitting       Mamoru, just like in the first episode. Naru tells Usagi that he might       be the man of her dreams, and Usagi says that her dream is to find a       man who will protect her.              But I can't help but feel that the final scene would have been a lot       more effective and moving if there had been no other seasons. I mean,       Sailor Moon R's first episode aired a week after this episode (in       Japan) and there's even a preview for the first episode of SMR after       the credits of this episode. (In fact, every new season began the next       week after the conclusion of the previous one, with no break)              -Chris              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
