Great scene.              While I enjoy this episode, the previous was much more moving for me.       Perhaps because Sailor Moon is one of my least favorite characters, and       the romance between Mamoru and Usagi came to be a point of annoyance for       me throughout the seasons, so now...meh. But they did a great job with       it, and even not having feelings for the characters involved, I felt       quite pulled in.              >       > The final section is where all the girls (and Mamoru) are reborn, and       > have no memory of what previously happened. Usagi says she's 14, and she's still in 8th grade. She also       still wearing her winter uniform. Given that summer had already       occurred during the classic season (and on to autumn and winter), there       really isn't any way that time wasn't reset from the way I see it.              >       > But I can't help but feel that the final scene would have been a lot       > more effective and moving if there had been no other seasons. (In fact, every new season began the next       > week after the conclusion of the previous one, with no break)              Of course that is true. Which I think is why 45 has a bit more impact       for me. You don't know immediately that they're going to come back to       life (not that I didn't know, but still...it takes awhile). But within       5 minutes, you know Usagi survives.              For some reason, the different voice for Usagi was a bit more apparent       in this episode for me. It actually bothered me just a little bit. Not       that it was bad, but I was bothered that I kept focusing in on it.              Also, I kept thinking that they played a jazzy/instrumentl version of       Moonlight Densetsu during the final battle. I don't know where my mind       came up with that. The extended Moonlight Densetsu sounded a lot better       than I remembered. Maybe not quite as good as Carry On, but I was a lot       more satisfied with it this time.              I also liked the epilogue song. While I'm a big fan of "A New Day", I       liked the feel of "You're Just My Love". Each was the most appropriate       for the feel of the versions end. The original was just a bit more       muted and touching, the dub was a bit more upbeat, in part because they       hadn't just all died and come back to life. ^_-              I hated that I didn't watch this one yesterday, but I barely slept       Tuesday night (just 1 hour), so there was no way I was going to be able       to give the episode the full attention it deserved. So tonight, SK and       I played catch up. Again. :p              Sunnie              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
