I came into the season with extremely low expectations, and was actually
pleasantly surprised. It was better than I remembered it being, which
   made me quite happy.

Stars has my favorite ending episodes, definitely. Not necessarily the
final battle itself, but rather the episode or two before that...much
like episode 45 is the one that really grabs me in Classic.

But agreed, the first part of 46 is very intense. Sailor Moon's growth
to be able to do what she did was amazing. And it didn't seem out of
place. Sometimes I complain when a main character does and about-face,
but with Usagi, you always felt it was there, just waiting for her to
recognize her own strength throughout the series. It was wonderful
finally seeing her reach that potential.

You're pretty much in the same boat that I'm in. I've never seen the
"17 newly dubbed episodes" (maybe one or two...maybe), and with the
exception of the first 4 episodes, I've only seen the series dubbed.
And I don't remember much about it at all, except for a few extra fun
scenes. So this is going to be great. The on thing I do remember is
loving the cherry blossom episode that's coming up in a few days. And
of course Makoto's episode. ^_^ And one of Minako's later episodes...
and...well, I really can't remember much (even if it seems like I do), I
jsut keep getting little scenes flashing through my head and I can't
wait to full place them again.
