   To me, the sound of her denials had that "mind echo" sort of timbre to   
   them. I think it was all in her mind and not actually spoken. What   
   made it particularly sad to me was after it was over, she sat there   
   silent for a moment and then spoke so calmly and sweetly to Luna.
