   I still think that seems problematic. I think the "time reset"   
   explanation would be fine if the 46 episodes of classic were the   
   entire series. It's just when they add the other 154 onto it that the   
   explanation doesn't really work.

   So then how does Naru know about the times she was attacked? And   
   shouldn't the girls do pretty well in school now that they already   
   know everything that's going to come up in the subjects? It also   
   seemed to be strongly implied in this episode that the reason Sailor   
   Moon wasn't able to bring the Moon Stick out was because it got   
   destroyed in Episode 46 -- if there was a time reset, we would expect   
   the explanation to be that Luna never created it in the first place.

   Also, if they were just going to reawaken them immediately when danger   
   came again, they could have led relatively normal lives as senshi   
   until the next enemy showed up.   
      
   I really think the whole conclusion of the first season is something   
   that would have worked excellently in a self-contained series but was   
   impossible to reconcile with the future seasons in a way that didn't   
   introduce any plot holes or problem.
