Yeah, I pointed that out while SK and I were watching too. He seemed
quite out of place, but it was a bit fun to see and old MotW show up for
   that. ^_-

I had forgotten about them being seperate entities until about 2 or 3
minutes before it happened. And even now I still can't remember the
full explanation (nor can I remember what jogged my memory just before
it happened--if it were in the preview, I didn't notice).

Definitely agree. It was nice seeing Mamoru take a bit of a shine to
her, if even just in that playing with his kid sister sort of way.
Mamoru had more personality in this episode than he did does in much of
the rest of the series combined. Okay, a bit of an exaggeration, but
that poor guy does get the shaft quite often when it comes to character
   depth.

For some reason, I kept hearing the line "If the tree dies we die" being
said in Al and Ann's voices over and over in my head while watching this
episode. I guess because they had a similar line in this episode. Oh
how I got tired of hearing that in the dub--and I'm sure I'll tire of it
   in the original too. ^_-
