   They really should have realized that something was wrong sooner.  Umino   
   found the cheat sheet and was spreading the rumor, and do you really   
   think he’d do something that would piss Naru off that badly without an   
   evil influence?   
      
   Ami’s reaction to it all was a very muted, “I’m used to it.”  She spends   
   most of the episode pretending this doesn’t hurt.  Neither Usagi or   
   Makoto are fooled at all.   
      
   Makoto’s reaction, however…  Well, it’s been a long time since we’ve   
   seen her get that violent, as Makoto or even Jupiter, and the look in   
   her eyes is just asking who’s stupid enough to open their mouth and be   
   next?  She backs down at Ami’s request, though not entirely willingly.   
   It’s been a while since she’s wanted to pound someone this badly.   
      
   Once she’s alone, the accusations and abuse get to Ami and she briefly   
   breaks down before the memory of Usagi’s words give her some comfort.   
      
   A question: Is Ami able to pretty much shrug this off because she’s with   
   her friends, or is she also, to an extent, putting up a mask for their   
   benefit, to keep them from being upset by something she has to put up   
   with regularly.  Can you imagine just how bad things would have gotten   
   for Umino and Co. if she’d broken down in front of Makoto?   
      
   It’s a rather clever move by the monster of the day, trying to turn its   
   foes against one another.   
      
   Mercury’s old Ail and Ann arc power is cropping up again.  Even with a   
   “Double” version.  Compared to most, she uses her abilities with far   
   more variety.   
      
   Usagi’s reaction to the attempt to trick her is both interesting and   
   disturbing.  She’s just that used to hearing bad things about herself   
   that it really doesn’t faze her anymore.   
      
   Usagi has remarkable faith in Ami.  Even when Mercury looked on the   
   verge of laying into all of them with her best attack, Usagi stood her   
   ground confidently.  She knew it wasn’t coming.
