My understanding has always been that the war was a matter of what       you might call rebellion, or at least refusal to be ruled - that the       people on the Other Side were those who objected so strongly to the idea       of Serenity ruling the world that they were willing to fight to prevent       it - which would mean that the people of the Black Moon are, from their       own perspective, simply coming back to reclaim their homeland       (homeworld) from the usurper and/or prevent her from having ever risen       to power in the first place. (Although they may have forgotten some       parts of their initial purpose...)              That is, that is my understanding of what the generally accepted       scenario is (certainly I've seen several fanfics based on that premise).       My own view of the matter is slightly different, but differs from the       above only in that I assume - on little evidence other than the fact       that the Senshi, and Usagi/Moon/Serenity in particular, are The Good       Guys - that Serenity did not attempt to take over the world so much as       get acknowledged ruler by general acclaim.              --        The Wanderer              Warning: Simply because I argue an issue does not mean I agree with any       side of it.              Secrecy is the beginning of tyranny.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
