Mama strolls in       to view the title of the episode, and decides not to let little Aya       watch? Or does it prep little Aya to deal with the fact that a       character will be dying in that episode?              Or did they simply run out of creative juices by the time it was time to       title episodes, and so we end up with stuff like this?              Anyway, good episode. I had actually seen about 10 minutes of it dubbed       back during it's very first run on Cartoon Network. Yeah, it didn't       make a lot of sense only seeing that part with Saphir dying. ^^; I       actually thought I'd seen more of the '17 newly dubbed episodes' when       they first aired, but I guess it was just a few minutes of this, an       earlier episode (can't remember which one), and also a few minutes of       the R finale (which I immediately turned off when I realized people were       right, Serena did sound like she was...umm...engaging in something other       than battle, and because I was sitting in my mother's hospital room with       the door open and that just wouldn't sound right for anyone walking by).              Very nice job with the emotions. I felt myself getting a little       teary-eyed, and we didn't even *know* Saphir, not really. He was always       just hanging out in the background (and talking in a somewhat annoying       voice). But he was a sweet kid. Especially during the memory of the       flower, I couldn't help but thinking that both Magic Knight Rayearth and       Fullmetal Alchemist were both influenced slightly by that moment (MKR       has almost a duplicate scene in the second season, and FMA, well, that       one's harder to explain, but I was reminded of it).              Petz was quite heartbreaking herself, especially when she told her       sisters she knew that it was going to happen from the moment he left.              Ami and Mako on the couch, cute! Although Luna was in the way. ^_- Rei       and Usagi's moment was very sweet and touching.              Let's see...I don't think I'm forgetting anything, although I did get       rather distracted when I realized the ceiling was leaking on me at the       beginning of the episode. ^^; I swear, the Demon Lord (NANA ref) is       out to prevent me from watching the rest of R! Moodiness, exhaustion,       school, and now a leaky ceiling!              >       > It's interesting that Saphir never fought the senshi or did any sort       > of operation against them. I wonder if he's the only enemy in the       > series that hasn't done that.              I think that's the case, as far as I can remember. Except for maybe       Peruru in the SuperS movie. Technically he was a part of the villain's       group, but never actually participated in their activities, right? Or       am I remembering the movie incorrectly...(and I don't think that's       really a spoiler, so I won't spoiler space it)              Also, his Black Moon mark disappeared, right? I wonder when that       happened...              >       > Now Dimande suspects Wiseman, but it's probably too late.              Nice to see Dimande actually getting a personality that isn't just       focused on destruction and dominating Serenity. ^^; Poor guy.              Sunnie              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
