   Well, even if it is their only appearance, it was a good one. Umino   
   made a wonderful speech there at the end. I think I had a tear in my   
   eye as well. I have no idea why the dub didn't just translate it   
   straight instead of giving him really foolish lines like "Your eyes on   
   me are like a heat lamp on French Fries. What's more, you're the   
   ketchup too"

   There are a number of interesting Ami comments. In that group   
   converstation at the beginning, she says something about maybe it will   
   be a good lesson to watch the contest (and everyone looks at her and   
   says "For what?") At the end, when the monument is lit, Ami says   
   "That's so nice.. I want to..." (and everyone stares at her). It's   
   left open just what was her true desire. I really like that kind of   
   subtle subtext. Tomorrow will be interesting.

   I'm not so sure. I wonder if she may have been the intended target,   
   but Umino took the bullet (so to speak) for her.
