   Actually, I think she was being a little mischievous and taking that   
   opportunity to tease Usagi a bit. This gives us a chance to see that   
   Ami has grown a bit and is trying to develop a funny side to her   
   personality and not be so deadly studious all the time. I'm sure that   
   she has no actual interest in Mamoru at all except as a good friend.
