That's open to interpretation, and something that I'm going to be
paying very careful attention to at the end of this season. My belief
has always been that Sailor Moon is the Messiah, but we'll see if we
can figure out from the show.

The problem is that we don't really know much about the Messiah.
Supposedly the Messiah will save the world, has unlimited power, and
can do something with the sacred cup. Both Saturn and Moon have
   problems fulfilling that description.

I'm not sure he was so lucky, though -- it was partly the fact that
Hotaru was Sailor Saturn that enabled her to break out of being
Mistress 9 and ultimately defeat Pharoah 90. But it's been a long
time since I've seen the end of the season so I'll wait until the end
   of this week. :)
