From: chriskern99@gmail.com              Episode 123 - Shadow of destruction! The Messiah of Silence awakens              Another rare scene with Usagi's hair down.              Where's Luna-P when Chibi Moon goes looking for Hotaru?              The scene where Hotaru takes Chibi-Usa's pure heart is one of the most       chilling scenes of the entire series. This is what all the happy       scenes of their friendship were building up to -- Hotaru wrenching       Chibi-Usa's pure heart from her body while Chibi-Usa is just happy       that Hotaru is still alive.              More on Sailor Saturn and the Messiah of Silence -- I think that       people are too ready to take what Uranus and Neptune say at face       value, especially given what happens in the manga. But here's what I       think. Uranus and Neptune saw that Hotaru was Sailor Saturn. All they       know about Sailor Saturn is that she's from the "planet of       destruction", so they assumed (correctly) that the enemy was trying to       use her as the Messiah of Silence because she's Sailor Saturn.       However, they seem to have also thought that merely the awakening of       Sailor Saturn would cause the destruction of the world. Obviously       they're not correct about this part. The episode here also shows that       Mistress 9, rather than Sailor Saturn, awoke. I think this is a key       piece that people sometimes miss when looking at episode 125 (so I'll       postpone most of that discussion until Friday) -- Sailor Saturn is not       some inherent evil or uncontrollable destructive force.              -Chris              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
