Crybaby Usagi's Growth Diary       >A brief recap of the previous seasons              This special opens with Usagi and Chibiusa in the park showing off       their new brooches to the audience. Chibiusa expresses curiosity about       how Usagi became Sailor Moon so Luna gives a recap of the first       season.              This was an excellent summary, recounting all of the most significant       and poignant moments of the Dark Kingdom arc; the moment Usagi first       discovered she was Sailor Moon, her first battle, introduction of the       other senshi, Mamoru's past, the elevator scene where Usagi blushingly       tells Mamoru that she doesn't think he's the worst person in the world       anymore, maybe he is only the second worst now ;).              It goes on to reveal that Usagi is the princess, the creation of the       ginzuishou, the death of the senshi and the final battle with Queen       Beryl. Chibiusa is amazed by this account and Usagi said that it       wasn't a big deal. Chibiusa then said that only a cockroach could have       survived a battle like that. (My gosh, I was rolling on the floor at       that line ^_^)              Chibiusa points out that now she shows up in the story and there is a       very, very brief summary of the second arc of the R season and the S       season. There is no mention of the Doom Tree arc.              This brought up the question of where is Haruka and Michiru upon which       Chibiusa and Usagi look at each other with a very knowing expression       on their faces and Usagi says "Well, knowing those two...".              With this line, we are introduced to the second mini-episode in this       special.              >The Return of Haruka and Michiru! The Ghostly Puppet Show       >A separate but somewhat related SuperS episode featuring Haruka and       >Michiru. This will be their only appearence in the SuperS TV season.              H&M are staying at a hotel. Michiru is in the dining room watching a       ventriloquist who we already know is up to something evil. Haruka is       sick in bed, but that doesn't stop her from flirting with the maid and       holding her hand. The maid is blushing and promising to bring Haruka       dinner when the door slams and there is Michiru. Both Haruka and the       maid flinch and drop their hands. The maid scurries out of the room as       Haruka stammers and blushes with her hand caught in the cookie jar, so       to speak. It was quite amusing to see Haruka so flustered and       contrite.              Later, Haruka is attacked by the ventriloquist and dummy as Michiru is       outside watching the ocean. Michiru transforms into Neptune and       confronts them. The ventriloquist tells Neptune to stay back and not       to defend Haruka. He tells her that if she attacks, the dummy will       drop this bottle it is holding which will shatter and cause the people       of the world to be destroyed by their shadows. Without hesitation,       Neptune attacks anyway, the bottle smashes, but nothing happens. The       ventriloquist asks Neptune how did she know he was lying. She said       "What, it wasn't true?". The ventriloquist said "You did it just to       save her? What kind of heroine are you?".              With one of the most amazing lines of the series, Neptune turns to him       and says "Maybe you misunderstood me. A world without Haruka is hardly       worth saving." Haruka then transforms and takes out the dummy, the       true source of the evil. Once that is done, everyone who was attacked       recovers. Haruka and Michiru later speculate about this new enemy, but       then agree that the senshi will be able to take care of this problem       without their assistance.              >Chibiusa's Adventure! The Dreaded Vampire Castle       >a story adapted from Chibiusa's Picture Diary manga              Chibiusa, along with her two friends, Momo and Kyusuke confront a new       schoolmate, a young girl who appears to be a vampire. Usagi, Mamoru       and the rest of the senshi hear Chibiusa's concerns and teasingly talk       about vampires and how to fight them. Usagi comes up with the best       solution that since vampires hate garlic, they should all go out for       Korean barbecue, Mamoru's treat. Mamoru winces at the idea, but like       the good chap that he is, ponies up for the meal. This whole little       scene was extremely cute and humorous.              Later, when they get in a confrontation with the vampire, the girls       unleash their special attack.              Mars: "Sailor"       Jupiter: "Special"       Mercury: "Garlic" (Ami does not look too happy about this...)       Venus: "Attack!"              They all take a deep breath and breathe out a deadly cloud of garlic       vapor over the vampire. They then tell Sailor Moon to make her attack.       When Sailor Moon and Chibimoon resist, TM tells them to not let his       hard earned money go to waste. With that, they do the MGM and vanquish       the lemures releasing the little girl from the spell.              The special ends by returning to the girls in the park. A new enemy       has appeared and Usagi rushes off in her usual scatterbrained manner       to fight it. Chibiusa worries about the world being left in Usagi's       care.              All in all, this was a really funny installment that shows once again       just what a special series Sailor Moon is.              --       Phoenix       www.phoenixanime.com              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
