   Pokemon starting at 146AG (422) does this in Japan too. (US dub did it way   
   back at classic 161, beginning of their 4th season.)   
      
   Interestingly enough that exact episode was the one where there was a   
   change of the guard (similar to episode 90 of Sailor Moon).
