|    200 Days of Sailor Moon - SMSS Review, S    |

From: chriskern99@gmail.com              SMSS Review -              This season was pretty much as I remembered it. It's mostly filler,       and while the filler is good, there's just too much of it. I wonder       what motivated the creators to do this -- the manga has a lot more       plot and involves the Outer Senshi as well. The creators had to know       the outers were popular, so this decision was deliberate to change       things around.              Once the story gets going, though, it's pretty good. Nehelenia is a       welcome change from the villians of the past seasons (and the AT and       AQ are fun as well).              Stars preview -              Here it is, my favorite season. Even though it does repeat a lot of       elements from S, I think overall it does it better than S did. First       there's the 6 episode Nehelenia arc, and then the main arc of the       story is only 28 episodes long. So there's not a whole lot of filler,       and I think Galaxia is the best villian of the entire series. The       mood of the season as a whole is much darker and more mature (mature       in terms of mood, not sex/violence) than previous seasons.              As a side note, this season started airing in Japan right after I       started watching Sailor Moon and reading this group. In those days       there were no digisubs (or any subs at all), so the only information       we got about these new episodes was from a few people who either lived       in Japan or knew someone in Japan who could mail them tapes of the       show. It was interesting to see people's reactions to the episodes,       but I'll talk about that more in the individual posts.              -Chris              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
