|    200 Days of Sailor Moon - Episode 199    |

From: chriskern99@gmail.com              Episode 199 - Light of Hope! The final battle for the galaxy              I said this earlier, but the conclusion of Stars was often criticized       for being too long and padded out. I mostly disagree with this, but I       do think that they were not able to come up with quite enough material       for this episode and they had to pad it out. I'm not sure if they       could have concluded it well in one episode because I don't feel like       200 is padded out at all. But there are some strange scenes in this       episode -- in particular, I really don't understand the scene where       they turn into balls of light and go all around the galaxy.              I've always liked that music box theme that plays at the end of the       episode, but what I never realized is that it's just a version of       Golden Queen Galaxia (Galaxia's theme song, which never appears in any       episodes but is on the CDs).              In Galaxia's final monologue when she has just defeated Chaos there's       a crucial line that I think a lot of people miss (at least judging       from newsgroup posts) -- the reason why she sent out her Star Seed as       the Light of Hope is because she believed that nobody could protect       the Galaxy except for her alone. Obviously that's not the "correct"       belief according to the Sailor Moon mythos so there's no way the Light       of Hope is going to work as the solution.              Here, Chibi-Chibi's identity is finally revealed -- she's Galaxia's       Star Seed, the Light of Hope. Obviously there was no way anyone could       have predicted this back when she first appeared so any guesses would       have been wrong.              -Chris              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
