   Regardless, it’s early fall, so Sailor V has been on the move for nearly   
   a year.   
      
   Naru’s mother’s name is Mayumi.  We learn quite a few names in this   
   series that, to my knowledge, are never offered anywhere else.   
      
   It opens with Tuxedo Kamen facing off with Sailor V after a theft.  Yes,   
   he’s a jewel thief at this point.  Maybe it’s for a good cause, but he’s   
   still robbing jewelry stores.  One gets the feeling they’ve done this   
   more than a few times.   
      
   I have to admit, I like this version of Usagi.  That smile just works   
   for her.  High energy, kind and compassionate, a little ditzy, without   
   really straying into the realm of abject stupidity too often.  She’s   
   always late to school, though.   
      
   This Usagi and Mamoru pair are great fun to watch, especially when   
   they’re sparring.  First round to Mamoru with the model remark.   
      
   Honestly, the fighting in this one wasn’t that bad, not compared to what   
   I recall of later episodes.  At least in the first part she’s supposed   
   to be inept.  The CG monster looks rather neat too, although again, I’m   
   comparing that to what I know is coming.
