He was speaking so intelligently, but dressed so....

Thankfully, that is pretty much the worst we ever see Motoki, if I'm
   remembering correctly.

Emo. She was dressed as a conservative (because it's Ami) Avril
Lavigne. Black shirt, black and white tie and plaid skirt (I think
that's the correct description), very conservative, Avril-style emo.

I think it's important to point out that she put up a better fight than
the senshi that was supposed to be even more "awake", Sailor Venus.

to me, the anime version of this scene was a lot better. I felt zero
emotion during all of this. :(

See...I thought it was very bland. I don't know why, it just didn't
really move me in any sort of way. It was neat seeing them kneel, the
first time I saw it, but other than that...something just didn't feel
right to me about the whole scene. I just don't think the actresses are
quite up to such an emotional scene just yet. However, they've gotten a
lot better, and I know later they do a much better job. So while it
fell flat for me, it was still nice enough.

Unfortunately, I think this is about where I stopped like the show
nearly so well. Most of the focus starts going away from the other
girls (if I remember correctly) and focusing solely on Usagi, Mamoru,
and the "plot", which are the three things I'm least interested in in
this show. The plot never made sense to me (perhaps this time I'll get
it), and Usagi and Mamoru were more enjoyable when they were teasing but
   yet falling for each other.

   But I'm just weird that way, I suppose. ^^;
