   I was wondering the same thing for both of those possibilities. Are   
   they somehow the yin and yang of the same entity? Or are they two   
   different entities, both drawing from the same well of power. I don't   
   understand it. Maybe it is explained further on.

   That's another part that bothered me. Unless the world has been   
   destroyed time and time again. If that is the case, is there something   
   special about Usagi that goes beyond her being the resurrected   
   Princess so that she can stop the process?

   I think Beryl's idea is that it is the Silver Crystal that contains   
   this power, not Princess Serenity herself. Thus if Beryl gets the   
   crystal, she will have the power. The only problem is getting it away   
   from Usagi without making her angry enough to toast the planet again.
