|    51 Days of PGSM - Act 50 - Special Act (    |

From: phoenix@mediaone.net              Special Act - We're Getting Married!              Four years have passed since Metalia was defeated. The sailor senshi       are now just normal girls, each pursuing their dreams. Luna T. is       living with the Tsukino family (Wait, when did this happen? Did       Ikuko-mama adopt her? Is everyone OK that this 10-year-old little girl       is *still* a 10-year-old little girl 4 years later? Does she have a       closet full of identical garish purple and yellow outfits or does she       ever wear normal clothes?). Ami has become a doctor in America       (operating in a biohazard suit with an American doctor who speaks       carefully worded English?), Rei continues to develop her natural       powers as a miko in the mountains of Kyoto. Minako is a world famous       idol singer. Makoto is a floral designer as she always wanted to be       (Is that a turtle plushie on her sofa?). And Usagi is preparing to       marry Mamoru.              Usagi drags poor Mamoru all over town as they prepare for the wedding.       Hmmm..... so why would a visit to a toy store and cuddling a baby doll       be part of the preparation? Although Mamoru tolerates it all with good       humor, Usagi gets upset that he does not share her unbounded       enthusiasm and capriciously breaks off the engagement.              Makoto meets Usagi in a cafe to talk her into reconciling with Mamoru.       Usagi is wolfing down an obnoxiously large dessert when she suddenly       clutches her stomach and runs for the restroom (Could this be morning       sickness? This particular little side trip doesn't seem to add       anything to the storyline otherwise. And why is Makoto concerned that       the wedding seems rushed?).              Luna receives a visit from Queen Serenity (played by Miyuu Sawai, but       voiced by a different actress). The Queen warns Luna of an awakening       evil power.              In an abandoned building (that looks very much like the building where       Ami first became Dark Mercury in Act 21) a dark power is growing. Luna       T. and Rei each independently have arrived on the scene to follow up       on this ominous presence. Rei attempts to confront the evil, but is       seriously injured in the process. We see a form materialize and a very       large, very familiar evil smile.              It is Mio, returned to create her own Dark Kingdom. She takes over the       castle of an abandoned amusement park and resurrects her own army of       clown youma including two powerful youma that call themselves Sword       and Shield. Finally she adopts a darkly cute Queen of Hearts costume       for herself. You know, this really puts me in mind of the SuperS       season with the Dead Moon Circus villains. I'm seeing some subtle nods       to Chibiusa here.              No fooling around for Mio, she releases dozens, maybe even hundreds of       clown youma to immediately drain the energy of humans throughout       Tokyo. Usagi attempts to help fight back, but since she can't       transform, her efforts are limited. Just as a clown is about to strike       her down, a familiar cane blocks the sword. Tuxedo Mask has made his       appearance to once again protect Usagi.              TM defeats the clowns, but is then shocked when the four generals show       up. They are apparently under Mio's control and quickly capture Mamoru       and Usagi. Sailor Luna shows up at the last minute to see them       disappear (So Luna can still transform even if the other girls       cannot).              Luna alerts the rest of the senshi who immediately respond, converging       on Tokyo from their various locations and activities.              Mio holds court in her circus fortress (much more cheerful then       Beryl's dark caves). She informs Usagi and Mamoru (I guess they gave       Mamoru a few minutes to change back into his civilian garb ^_-) that       she will take Mamoru for her king and Usagi for her energy after she       marries Mamoru. They are both teleported into a locked room where they       continue to argue with each other. The generals stand at attention,       under Mio's command.              Makoto and Luna are discussing how to save Usagi when they are visited       by Queen Serenity. The Queen tells Makoto and Luna how they can get       the power to transform. The girls must all meet at the site of the       Legendary Sword which will give them the power they need. Eh? Is that       Motoki's turtle car that Makoto is driving?              Each of the girls are faced with clown youma that they must overcome       to make their rendezvous. Ami, I'm sure, devised a clever plan to       thwart her assailants; Minako showed that she still possesses enormous       natural strength; And Makoto showed that she can still physically beat       down any opponent.              When two of the generals come to the cell to take Mamoru, he manages       to distract them to allow Usagi to escape. Usagi makes her way outside       the castle where she discovers that Mamoru had slipped the engagement       ring she returned to him back into her pocket. This reminded her that       although Mamoru is loyal and considerate of her, it is difficult for       him to show strong emotion. She realized that she may have been       unreasonable in her expectations for him to demonstrate her same       insane level of enthusiasm.              The three senshi along with Sailor Luna arrive at the mountain top       where the Legendary Sword had been placed by Queen Serenity. The three       senshi grasp the blade. Minako speaks for Rei who, from her hospital       bed, reaches for an image of the sword. Ami speaks for Usagi so that,       at least in spirit, all five senshi are represented.              Mio puts Mamoru under an enchantment and they approach the wedding       alter. They are about to kiss when the ceremony is interrupted by       Usagi bursting through the door. Mio gives Mamoru a sword and       instructs him to kill Usagi. As Usagi stands firm, he throws the sword       directly at her. The sword misses her head by the tiniest of margins       and strikes a rope releasing a wall hanging to entangle the generals       who were standing by. It was clear that Usagi had complete faith in       Mamoru's heart, and knew that he would not harm her. Mamoru tells her       that the spell on him had broken the moment he heard her voice.              Mamoru and Usagi flee the castle, but are confronted by the generals,       who arrive to recapture them. In a stunning move, we see them suddenly       stop as the -real- generals appear, shielding Mamoru and Usagi. Mamoru       had known all along that the generals at Mio's command were imposters.              Mamoru transforms into Endymion and the five of them take on the clown       youma. After the clowns are defeated, Endymion battles both the Sword       and Shield youma on his own, ordering the generals to stand down. With       a quick dodge, one youma destroys the other and then Endymion destroys       the remaining one.              Now we are down to the final boss. Mio makes her appearance to give       battle. She transforms into a giant plant monster and attacks Endymion       and the generals. It appears that Mio will be victorious when she is       suddenly stopped by Usagi. Usagi stands strong as Mio moves to strike       her down. However, Mio's attack is stopped at the last moment by       Minako wielding the Legendary Sword. For one final fight, the senshi       are given their transformation jewelry and they henshin for the last       time.                     [continued in next message]              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
