|    52 Days of BSSM - Act 11 - Saikai - Endy    |

From: phoenix@mediaone.net              OK, I'm back.              This act focuses on Mamoru's return, who is now known as Endymion.       Upon his return, he unknowingly bumps into Usagi which causes her to       drop Mamoru's watch that she was holding. When she picks it up, she       sees that it has started to work again. It had been working on the       Moon and stopped working once they returned, obviously tied to Mamoru       somehow.              Endymion goes to the arcade and hypnotizes Motoki into believing that       they are best friends. We get introduced to Motoki's girlfriend, Reika       and as a budding geologist, she describes the four stones, Jadeite,       Nephrite, Kunzite and Zoisite. We also find out that Motoki is the son       of the arcade's owner.              Meanwhile, the girls meet in Ami's fabulous penthouse to discuss the       stone sword they brought back from the Moon with them. Minako trips in       the lobby and chips the marble floor with the sword and later they       shatter a diamond with it. Apparently Ami has many diamonds to spare       so it is no big deal (say what!?). BTW, Minako is really clumsy-cute       in this scene. It appears that the sword and possibly the old Moon       Castle are now composed of a toxic stone that is harder then diamond.              Usagi goes to the arcade to play the Sailor V game and runs into       Endymion who is working there. Usagi is confused and wants to believe       that this is really Mamoru despite Motoki's assurance that this is       actually his old friend, Endou. She ends up going to the arcade every       day to be near him. Endymion is also confused by Usagi's and her       hairstyle, remarking that it looks like that of Sailor Moon. He finds       that he cannot hypnotize her as he did Motoki. They both play the       Sailor V video game incessantly while Endymion attempts to gain access       to the secret control room.              In the end, he hypnotizes Makoto into leading him into the control       room and there is a battle with the senshi for the silver crystal.       This act ends in a confrontation with Queen Beryl.              Some notes about Mixxzine's treatment. They kept Mamoru/Darien's       nickname, Endo; They had Usagi/Serena/Bunny calling Minako "V-babe"       instead of "V-chan" which I would consider a pretty decent       localization.              Mamoru is taken to the dark side in the anime, but they seem to have       taken it in a different direction then the manga. I think it's because       this act came out in December '92, at the same time the anime was       dealing with the same situation. There was simply not enough time to       map the anime to the manga.              Phoenix              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
