|    Did Vader personally order Owen and Beru    |

From: ears@not.com              I was looking at Wookieepedia and there was an image of the       Stormtroopers talking to Vader on the Death Star and Vader personally       ordering their deaths. The image was from a Comic somewhere, I       personally can't read Comics which is why I rely on the net to fill me       in on those details. From the timeline it is clear that Vader was on       the DS by the time this happened but I just can't see them calling       Lord Vader in another star system just to keep him up-to-date on a       small part of a very large operation.       I did re-read the Stormtrooper's tale (from Tales from the Mos Eisley       Cantina) and it just said that the trooper just ordered their deaths       on a whim. It also seems pretty stupid to kill the only people who       might know who has the droids (their nephew) and to destroy a place he       would most likely have returned to in just a matter of time. But no       one ever accused Stormtroopers of being intelligent or thinking ahead.       They would have no reason to believe (at the time) that Luke had met       an old Jedi that would attempt to take the droids off-planet, so       killing them and destroying the farm was stupid. If Anakin was as       gone as he was supposed to be then Shmi's death would no longer hurt.       If it did then he probably would have ordered the death of every       Tusken on the planet but he never did, it would seem to no longer       matter. I just can't see it.              What are your thoughts?              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
