   While technically true, Tyrannus was in the spot light for a patient   
   Sith Lord who happened to soon need another apprentice. He was working   
   with the big players, pissing off jedi, etc. Maybe it was a total   
   coincidence, but if Palpy was anything like the previous Sith, I'm   
   willing to bet they always had an alternate plan. I tend to take   
   apprentice less than literally considering ROTJ. Luke was and wasn't an   
   apprentice. He never accepted, but no one would have been a better choice.
