   It's unlikely that Sith Lords can live forever ... even at the most basic   
   level they're always at risk of being killed off by their own Apprentice.   
      
   Palpatine was possibly referring to the ability to join with the Force after   
   death, like Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Yoda and Anakin did by the end of "Return of   
   The Jedi" ... or it may simply have been another of his lies to manipulate   
   Anakin.
