From: BillV2320@webtv.net              I liked it much better before the explosion of expanded universe stuff.       When there were only a FEW novels and ONE comic book and a FEW reference       works.       i remember buying my copy of Splinter of the Minds Eye and reading it in       wonder: at last some new Star Wars!       Then the 'Han Solo Trilogy'.       and the comic came once a month!       it was tantalizing GLIMPSES into that Galaxy from long ago and far away       and YOUR OWN imagination filled in the blanks.       Now we are deluged with animation, books and ref works so profuse it       DULLS the experience immensely. i go see the movies only, anymore and       buy some of the ref works, but most of the novels and comics are just       trash filling up the spaces of the Galaxy and you have to worry about       'echelons of canon' and the like: what BS!       come on Lucas, aren't you rich enough?              These are the coats we wear.       Of Devils plaid, and Witches Hair!       With a hood, or a belt, or a sleeveless one.       Doesn't count,       that's a vest called a jerkin.       Uh......we're all wearin' Jackets.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
