   He didn't.   
      
   He said "It's the ship that made the Kessel Run in less than twelve   
   parsecs." He was referring to the distance the ship travelled. Han   
   achieved this by travelling closer to the black holes in the Kessel Region   
   making it a shorter distance he had to travel.
