   He was "returned" / redeemed ... that was one of the main points of the   
   Saga (at least it was until Disney and JJ Abrams screwed it up by   
   stupidly trying to add more "episodes"). It's also supposedly why   
   George Lucas later changed the Anakin ghost to use the younger,   
   pre-Vader version.

   It might sound or seem like one, but it isn't.   
      
   Almost all religions are based on belief in mythical, unprovable   
   nonsense, and mostly created by lies designed to increase the power and   
   wealth of the church, priests, and / or fake "Gods".   
      
   The Jedi don't "worship" the Force. It's simply what enables them to do   
   some of the things they do - provable things (within the Star Wars   
   universe) and somewhat measurable using Midichlorian counts.   
      
   The Jedi is a philosophy and way of life, not a religion. It's much   
   more like Knights of the Round Table than Christianity / Hinduism /   
   etc.
