   Whether or not the process is done before or after death, the actual   
   mummified person will be dead and cannot be revived (short of   
   supernatural / magical fantasy).   
      
   Han Solo wasn't dead, wasn't mummified, and could be and was retrieved   
   from his suspended animation.
