   Yes, it is the ex-Darth Maul is in Rebels (he's no longer a Sith, so   
   isn't called "Darth"). Apparently he's not easy to kill. He's the   
   character who got chopped in half by Obi-Wan in the Episode I movie,   
   fell into the reactor, and yet still managed to make a comeback.   
      
   The reason ... easy, and same as always. A lack of sensible ideas by   
   the writers, so they have to start including every existing character   
   from elsewhere in the Star Wars universe. It was a better show when it   
   simply concentrated on its own characters and storylines.  :-\
