   I think "TEEN" is more intuitive, as I think the vast majority of words ending   
   in "tine" are pronounced "TEEN". For example:   
      
   Sistine (chapel)   
   routine   
   saltine (cracker)   
   Philistine   
   guillotine   
   libertine   
   pristine   
      
   Obviously there are exception (e.g. valentine), but I think that's true for   
   the vast majority.
