   Well, I *am* a Swede, and I wouldn't mind at all. I had missed that he   
   had been casted.

   Well, to be fair, I don't think chapter numbering says much about the   
   langth of the adapted material. Like I've said before - a lot of parts   
   will be greatly expanded upon in a visual medium when they occupy a   
   measly paragraph or two in the book.

   Indded, which is why I think the White council is in the first film,   
   while the Dol Goldur events are in the second.

   I kind of have a feeling that it's quite likely that the events with   
   Smaug (action action) and Dol Goldur (action action) will climax at   
   the same time. There are still tons of action events left for the   
   first film though, with spiders, wolves and eagles.
