That is a good question, and I can see only two ways to answer it. One
is that I was mistaken. Galadriel only knows because Frodo told her
earlier, but this was not narrated; or he told Gandalf in Rivendell, and
Gandalf told Galadriel via Elrond's messengers that passed through Lórien
before the Fellowship did, or via Ósanwe-kenta. A special plea in this case
is that Galadriel discovered it while staring Frodo in the eyes at her first
meeting with the Fellowship. In that case she was One. Powerful. Lady.
I'd be wary of appearing before her even if I knew that she had no ill
feelings against me, and seven times wary if I suspected that she might.
Thrice wary if I had fapped during the previous few months...
The other answer is that the wielders of the Three (or maybe only
super-Galadriel) *did* feel it, as a sort of "disturbance in the force",
but interpreted what they had felt correctly only after it became clear that
Bilbo had found the Ruling Ring and let Frodo inherit it. I doubt that she
knew from her mirror, because it seems to have been a much more wayward
   far-seeing tool than the Palantíri.
