   No matter what you think it may "sound an awful lot like" - the poster   
   didn't put it in quotes at all; because he was merely stating a known fact   
   in evidence. (ie It wasn't a quote.)   
   Both in the Tolkien's legandarium and the Jackson films, the fact that men   
   are easily corrupted (and much more so than Elves) is pretty much a given   
   and expressed in many ways.   
      
   Galadriel's voiceover actually speaks about men "who above all desire   
   power".   
   I guess that makes them "easily corrupted" or perhaps "inherantly a bit   
   corrupt".   
   And that view is not far out of line with Tolkien's work at all.
