   Faramir's encounter with the One Ring in the books reads very much   
   like Galadriel's.  He IS clearly tempted (that "strange smile" and   
   that speech of his before he sits down again practically screams   
   temptation) but he conquers his temptation and does not appear to   
   be seriously tempted again.

   I would suggest that the fact that Sauron distributed nine of the   
   Rings under his control to Men and none to Elves does suggest that   
   he thought Men would be more vulnerable to the type of corruption   
   represented by Rings of Power.
