   Heh, A few years ago, I edited the Extended LOTR trilogy (DVD) into one LP   
   movie.   
   It lives on a hard drive - backed up onto a flash drive.   
   I did a little trimming, but not as much as I could/should have. (maybe some   
   day?)   
      
   We've used it about once a year - we have friends over to watch it in our   
   home theater (DLP projection). I forget the run-time, but it pushes 9 hours.   
   We roast a turkey during the 1st part and have a "hobbit style" feast at the   
   "half-time" break. During that time vintage drive-in intermission ads and   
   promos are on screen.  :)
