   I've just heard (via Troels Forchhammer on the "Tolkien Usenet   
   Newsgroups" Facebook group) that Mike Scott Rohan, an author who used   
   to post here often, passed away yesterday. I haven't found official   
   verification of that yet, but the word does seem to be spreading   
   pretty widely. Mike was an active and appreciated part of our   
   community, so I'm sad to hear that he's gone. I figure that the   
   handful of folks who still visit here might want to know.
