   I have written many screenplays and novels. I have not had any studio idiots   
   attempt to  force me to go against my moral convictions on a rewrite. They   
   just hire someone else to bastardize it once they have purchased the rights.   
   There are plenty of hacks willing to turn someone else's intelligent art   
   into "good films ... that people pay to enjoy". Their loss, not mine.
