From: no-no@na.net              I was looking forward to this movie after seeing the entertaining trailer.       "Anything Else" promised to be a return to the relationship comedy of "Annie       Hall" and "Manhattan," and it was in terms of subject matter, but the film,       like all of Woody's recent work, was lifeless. Leonard Maltin said he       loathed it. I wouldn't go that far and can't say I thought it was bad, but       it does seem that no matter what type of picture Allen makes these days they       all seem to have a common listless quality. Tired blood. Perhaps he should       take a couple of years off because he's just going through the motions now.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
